Quoting for Jobs

  • Quoted or estimated jobs require a 50% deposit before work commences, unless otherwise agreed.

Plumbing/Roofing/Maintenance

Standard Rates (Weekdays 7:30AM– 5:00PM)

  • $132.00 + GST per hour (min 1 hour) Licensed Staff

  • $71.50 + GST per hour (min 1 hour) Assistant

  • $49.50 + GST van charge (per visit)

After Hours (Weekdays 5:00PM – 7:30AM & Weekends)

  • Standard rates as above plus 50%

A typical plumbing job in normal hours will cost $253.00 + GST for van and labour for the first hour. Materials and other applicable charges are additional.(Nb.1: Chargeable time includes travel to and from site, site time and reasonable time sourcing or collecting materials. Nb.2: Chargeable time is rounded up to the nearest 15 minutes).

Gas Fitting

Standard Rates (Weekdays 7:30AM – 5:00PM)

  • $148.50 + GST per hour (min 1 hour) Licensed Staff

  • $71.50 + GST per hour (min 1 hour) Assistant

  • $49.50 + GST van charge (per visit)

  • $95.00 + GST our processing fee to issue gas certificate

After Hours (Weekdays 5:00PM – 7:30AM & Weekends) 

  • Standard rates as above plus 50%

A typical gasfitting job in normal hours will cost $269.50 + GST for van and labour for the first hour. Materials and certificates will be extra.(Nb.1: Chargeable time includes travel to and from site, site time and reasonable time sourcing or collecting materials. Nb.2: Chargeable time is rounded up to the nearest 15 minutes).

Holidays & Emergencies

Public Holiday Rates: Standard rates as above doubled; plus a one off Public Holiday Fee of $210.00 + GST

Emergency Call Out: Standard rates as above doubled.

Additional Fees & Charges

  • Materials: charged at up to 20% above the merchant's listed RRP.

  • Specialist Leak Detection - quoted per job

  • Toilet and Drain unblocking - minimum $260.00 + GST

  • CCTV Drain Inspection equipment fee - $160 + GST per hour of site time (minimum 1 hour).

  • Technical report by certifying tradesman - Price on Application - minimum $160 + GST.

  • Dumping fees - as per refuse site receipt.

  • Drain blast rig $235.00 + GST per hour (including site & travel time).

  • Concrete core drilling $48.00 + GST for holes up to 100mm Diameter & 200mm Depth - other sizes quoted per job.

  • Engineer approval may be required for core drilling - (Nb. Fee will be quoted per job & is additional to above charges).

  • Concrete cutting $32.00 + GST per hour plus blade wear at $20.00 + GST per mm

  • Temporary gas hot water (max 7 days hire) $180 + GST per day.

Important information

  • SEAL determines the number and level of staff required for each job, taking into account the work required and health and safety requirements. Unless otherwise agreed, we will generally attend with one senior tradesperson and one assistant.

  • If a job booked during normal hours is unable to be attended until after hours due to SEAL's scheduling, normal-hour rates will apply.

  • Payments are due within 7 days, unless otherwise agreed under our Terms of Trade or an approved commercial account arrangement.

  • A 3% surcharge may apply to credit card payments.

  • Gas certificates will be issued whenever we carry out gas work, with the applicable certificate processing fee charged separately.

  • All rates and charges are subject to our Terms of Trade.

  • All prices are exclusive of GST.

  • These are our current charge-up rates and may be revised from time to time. The rates applying to your work will be those current when the Services are provided, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
